Noor Quran

This Privacy Policy explains how Noor Quran (“the app”, “we”, “us”, “our”), developed by DevInspect, handles information when you use the app. Noor Quran is built to be private by design: it works fully offline, requires no account, and keeps your reading data on your device.
Noor Quran does not require an account and does not collect personal information that identifies you. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, or precise location. The app is free and currently offers no in-app purchases, so we do not collect payment information. We also never collect the actual content of what you read, search for, or bookmark.
The following is stored only on your device and is never uploaded to us:
This information lives in the app’s local storage on your device. It is removed when you clear the app’s data or uninstall the app. You can also clear your bookmarks, reading progress, and downloaded audio at any time from the app’s Settings.
In the published versions of the app (from the App Store and Google Play), we use Microsoft Clarity, a privacy-focused analytics service, to understand how the app is used so we can improve it — for example, which screens are opened, general interaction patterns, the type of device and operating system, an approximate region, and session length.
This data is used in aggregate and is not used to identify you. Microsoft Clarity is configured to avoid capturing the content you read, and we do not send the Quran text, translations, your bookmarks, or your search terms to any analytics service. Development and test builds of the app are excluded from analytics entirely.

Recitation audio is provided by everyayah.com. When you play or download a recitation, the app requests the audio files from everyayah.com’s servers, which necessarily receive your device’s IP address along with the request. That request is subject to everyayah.com’s own terms and privacy practices, which we do not control.
Audio you download for offline listening is stored on your device only. Reading the Quran text itself never requires a connection.
The app may check our server (noorquran.devinspect.com) for the latest available version so it can let you know when an update is available. This request includes standard technical information such as your IP address. It does not identify you, and it fails silently if you are offline.
Noor Quran does not currently display advertisements. If we introduce advertising in the future, we will update this policy and disclose any advertising partners before doing so.
The app may open external links (such as this policy, our website, or the app store) and use your device’s system share sheet and app-store rating prompt. When you follow a link or use these features, you are subject to the respective third party’s or platform’s terms and privacy practices.
Noor Quran is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because no account or personal data is required, the app does not gather information that identifies any user, including children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will address it.
Because your personal reading data lives only on your device, its retention is under your control — clearing the app’s data or uninstalling it removes that data. Aggregate analytics are retained by our analytics provider in accordance with their retention policies. We take reasonable measures to protect information, but no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure.
Our analytics and audio providers may process technical data on servers located in other countries (for example, Microsoft’s and everyayah.com’s infrastructure). By using the app, you understand that such technical data may be processed outside your country of residence.

Depending on where you live (for example, the EEA, the UK, or California), you may have additional rights to access, correct, or delete personal data. Note that we do not hold personal data that identifies you.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the app after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
